What have I done over the last 10 years(from 2014 to 2024), in «La Tejedora Distrito Creativo»(in Englisth, «The Weaver») and Conscious Towns.

Over the past 10 years, I dedicated myself to building La Tejedora Distrito Creativo, transforming a former textile factory into Ecuador’s first creative district. While I didn’t invent the original idea of a “creative district” — typically centered around artistic activities, coffee shops, and cultural entertainment — I expanded that foundation significantly.

I integrated a much broader and more purposeful set of categories, shaping La Tejedora into a model that fuses art, sustainability, health, entrepreneurship, and conscious living. This evolution led me to develop the concept of Conscious Towns, an even more holistic and forward-thinking vision that builds upon everything La Tejedora represents — aiming to redefine how communities live, create, and thrive together.

In essence, La Tejedora Distrito Creativo is more than a place — it’s a living concept that fuses art, health, sustainability, and entrepreneurship to offer meaningful experiences, not just products. It’s a blueprint for how urban spaces can evolve consciously.

In this video, created in collaboration with Camilo Coba(Olimac), a team member and tenant at La Tejedora Distrito Creativo, we offer a quick visual journey through the transformation of the space. Once home to traditional textile factories and later converted into uninspiring warehouses, the area has now evolved into Ecuador’s first creative district. This transformation was not only guided by my vision but also shaped by the ideas and energy of our entrepreneurial community. Together with our tenants, we co-created a vibrant space that blends commerce, art, sustainability, and conscious living.
